Caregiver Resources

Taking on the role of caregiver reinforces the need for lots of new information. Suddenly, the caregiver needs skills and resources quickly they don’t have and may have no idea where to find them. Worse yet, they may not know how to find the necessary answers.

The type of resources needed is vast. Not only does a caregiver need information about the disease or condition they manage, but they also need to know how to access and interact with government agencies that regulate healthcare. Furthermore, once they are home alone, they need to know where to buy low-cost supplies not covered by insurance and how to obtain help with caregiving problems encountered.

“Resources” provide a limited list of companies and agencies to get you started. More are available online. I’m always looking for more to add, so please share with me any you recommend.

Please note I only post for free agencies, companies, and businesses that do not charge caregivers a fee for their services (excluding government agencies required payments). Fee-for-service vendors may advertise on the “Products” or “Services” pages as appropriate for their company.
